- (אוּסְיָא) אוּזְיָא f. (√אז, v. אֲזַד; cmp. קָצֶה) a piece, part, uzya, a market term for a certain portion (quarter ) of meat. Bets.29a in Pumb. they call it א׳ ופלגא א׳ Ms. M. (ed. ופלגו א׳ corr. acc.; var. אוסיא) an uzya and half an uzya.
